This 9-acre property has 34 water-and-electric sites, 10 primitive sites, and 4 rental units. A “Class A” trout stream runs right through the park. The nature trails, lakefront beach, river, and waterfalls within the park provide the focus for lots of recreational fun for park guests. The park has a variety of other amenities and activities for guests, including several regularly scheduled events each weekend. Nearly half of the sites are currently used by seasonal guests, some staying as long as 4 months. This property includes 48 sites on 9 acres. The campground has gravel roads, and the campsites are grassy. The typical site is 40’ X 40’, accommodating rigs up to 40 feet. The park is nicely treed with a mix of hardwoods and pines. The park has a beach and swimming area on a 22-acre, “no motors” lake. The lake is manmade with the dam located within the park. The park owns 2200 feet of water frontage.
This structure was originally built around 1866 as the office for a sawmill. The building is approximately 40’ X 50’ with wood framing and a stone foundation. The building houses the campground office, a small snack shop, a beer bar, the campground store, and a game room.
The “shower house” has 2 men’s showers and 2 women’s showers. There are pit toilets, also—2 for women and 1 for men. A second bathhouse, adjacent to the residence, has two toilets.
The park has two 4-person, 1-room cabins. The cabins have air-conditioning and heat. Both cabins include a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, TV/VCR, picnic table, grill, and a fire pit.
Added in 2011, there are 2 travel trailers available for rent. The first is a 1998 30’ unit which sleeps 4, and the second is a 2003 32’ unit with bunks which sleeps 6. Each trailer has a separate bedroom, heat and air conditioning, a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, picnic table, grill and a fire pit.
The residence is a 2000+ square foot home with 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. The home was remodeled in 2011 with new siding, eaves, soffit, insulation, and drywall. It has forced-air heat and central air conditioning. A new well was drilled in 2008.
The 8’ X 10’ pump house includes storage for grounds equipment and small hand tools.
