Located on a top 10 whitewater river with class 2-4 rapids. This is a 2022 Founder’s and President’s award-winning KOA where all of the RV sites are full hookup, including water, electric, sewer, cable TV, and WiFi. A unique retrofitted caboose offers 2 well-appointed efficiency units with private firepits and grill areas. Private paw pen sites are available for guests traveling with pets, so the whole family can enjoy being with their fur babies. Deluxe patio sites elevate the camping stay with private covered decks. The air conditioned bathhouse is clean and modern. Numerous amenities include large riverfront sites, a fishing pond, a pavilion, playground, gem mining station, and golf cart rentals. The main building is a 10,000 sq. ft. 1890s Victorian home and contains the check-in desk, cafe, laundry, lounge, residence, and store. The boutique country store offers branded merchandise and local goods. The area offers festivals, historic towns, a water park, fishing and paddling rivers, and hiking and biking trails in the renowned Appalachian mountains and national forest. The park is easily accessible being only 5 miles off of an interstate. The park was designated top 10 in guest satisfaction at a recent KOA convention!

Whitewater rafting river
The park is located on a destination whitewater river with class 2-4 rapids. The campground has an exclusive agreement with a premier local paddling company to offer discounted rates for campers and complimentary pickup and drop-off at their campsites, with some trips ending right at the guests’ site.
Main building
10,000 sq. ft. 1890s Victorian home: 5 bed/2.5 bath owner’s residence, store, check in area, cafe, camper lounge, storage, laundry for lodging, cook area.
Laundry
2 washers and dryers between men’s and ladies’ restrooms/showers. Built approx. 12 years ago.
Caboose cabin
Caboose-style cabin rental with 2 efficiency units. Full baths/dorm fridge, heat and air, coffee maker, private parking and private deck.
Park model
26’ Canterbury cabin added in 2021. Sleeps six and has a private bath, kitchenette, and KOA patio and grill. Installed in 2019.
Bathhouses
Approx. 1,200 sq. ft. frame structure with A/C. Men’s: 2 showers, 2 stalls, 2 urinals 2 sinks. Women’s: 2 showers, 3 stalls, 2 sinks.
Equipment building
6 bay garage and workshop.
Stage
12’ x 14’ stage built approx. 2007.
Pavilion
16’ x 30’ pavilion built approx. 2008. Has a built-in projection TV for movies.
